more fire

One Year of More Fire!

Today marks the one-year anniversary of the blog dedicated to More Fire! Thanks to those who either casually or regularly stop by and give encouragement to this lowly blogger. And a special thanks to those who give glory to The Most High and to those who are seeking to know him. I pray Jesus’ holy name is glorified on this site. And that those who desire the intimacy and immediacy of God’s presence remain in the refiner’s fire until they are sanctified and made holy unto God. More fire!

Congrats, storbakken on one year! Awesome blog and always an encouragement to stop by here. I don’t comment often but you are part of my ‘daily blogsurf’.

I just began reading the book ‘Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire’ by Jim Cymbala. Our entire church, in fact, is reading the book.

Blessings to you and yours.

A Teacher once took with him a small boy – and stood him before the assembly. The boy held only a candle, and the room was otherwise dark. The glow from the young boy’s candle bathed the walls and the faces of those seated in the room.

The teacher turned to the boy – and with a loud commanding voice, asked, “Young man, do you know the sourch from which your small flame has come?”

As a hush fell over those seated in the assembly, the boy turned toward his teacher, smiled, and blew out his candle. Darkness – complete and total – fell over the room. And in a firm but quiet voice the young man said, “Teacher, I will tell you from whence this fire comes – as soon as you tell me where it has gone!”

And the room was as silent as it was dark.

It is reported that none moved or spoke until sunrise the next morning.

Woohoo!! A year already?! How time does fly! And like others on here have already said, I am blessed by your posts. They also have made me look at things from a perspective I may not have looked at.
