Please pray for my uncle (he is my age and like a brother to me). He disappeared for almost one year. He has been homeless for too long. He called in April 2007, but has since lost touched with me. Please pray that he calls and that he turns his life over to God so that he can begin to heal and know that he is loved relentlessly and unconditionally. Please pray for him.

I was blessed yesterday when I was ministering to a woman in jail. She so addicted to drugs and she shared how her 4 kids were taken away because of her addiction. Yet, she showed a true mother’s heart when she said that now her kids are warm, fed and clothed. Just sort of an example of her giving up her kids without being filled with hate. Pray for her as she really wants to live a life pleasing to God.

Pray that my mother is able to pay the government the tremendous amount of money they want from her so she can live peacefully. She is 80. Pray that my grandson has God’s protection and is not forced by the courts to spent nights with his father of whom he is terrified. He comes in sobbing all night after day visits and he pleads and begs to not have to see him. He prays all the time asking God to help him. We do not know the problem and my daughter works very hard to pay a doctor and lawyer until an answer can be found. Pray god protects this little boy. The courts will not listen to children and his mother has no answer to his fear of his father. God is his heavenly father and he sorely needs his protection. This Advent Season, I humbly ask that people pray for the forgotten people of Bukavu, and the Kivu region in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. They are predominately Catholic. And they are greatly suffering. I extend this request to all of our brethren, in areas of great turmoil and uncertainty this holiday season.

The region is plagued with food shortages,civil war, AIDS, and mass rape. Since the begin of civil war, which started in 1996 as an extension of the ethnic genocide in Rwanda, over 4 million innocent Congolese citizens have been murdered. In the area around the city of Bukavu, population 250,000, some 58,000 women have been brutally raped. The situation is much life Dafur, so much so that most NGOs have abandoned the area out for fear for their own safety, and have left these peoples to their own fate. With the ways of modern media and the attentions of mass audience, most eyes are focused only on Dafur.

Last week, articles on the situation in East Congo appeared in the New York Times and the Sydney Morning Herald, and are available online.

My mother Mrs Siloo Makati aged 65 years residing in Mumbai has been in great pain. The pain is in the abdominal region (stomach area). The doctors and other specialists are not able to diagnoise the cause and the medicines are also not taking effect or giving any releif. Please pray for me. I am going for x-rays on Thursday. I had x-rays 10 days ago and the doctor spotted something that he wants to investigate on my lung. I am really, really scared but am doing my best to not let my family know that I am.
